Book By Book : My August 2018 Reads
This month I got to read a few more books than I usually did the last few moths because I had just taken my exams. After all the studying, I finally had the time to read all the books I have set aside to read later.
Here are the books i read this month and my review on each one.
This thriller that everyone have been raving about last spring got me curious and wanting to read it- Yes , this ground breaking collaboration between James Patterson and Bill Clinton- the 42nd President of the United States has collaborated alongside one of the most famous and iconic crime and mystery authors of today.
Story of a 38 year old woman Anna Fox who lives in upscale Manhattan New York and suffering from agoraphobia which is a fear of places and situations that might cause panic, helplessness or embarrassment. Because of this, she has not left her house in almost a year though she likes to spy on her neighbors and you will soon learn why she likes to spy on others through her window.
This book has created a lot of buzz and hype not only among the Asian population but on everyone else. Here, author Kevin Kwan takes us into the life of crazy rich Asians and how they struggle with the kind of power and money they have. This is a story of a girl of modest means attracts the interest of a crown prince. Now a major motion picture, this story will make us fall in love with romantic comedies again.
Another epic book by Dan Brown takes Professor of Symbology Robert Langdon on a battle between science and religion. So the story is set in beautiful Spain. A deadly game of " cat and mouse" between Langdon and his friend a playboy tech genius Edmund Kirsch where he promises to reveal the secret to life, the universe and everything else.
This book claims to know the secret to a love that lasts. Whether you say it does or does not is up to you but this book helps us answer some questions we have about love and relationships. We all have different emotional love languages and ways we express and feel love and rarely do husbands and wives speak the same language and that is what you will learn in this book.
I have also been convincing the hubby to read this book and he promised he will!
