Baking My First Pie- Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
Yesterday my husband and I got into a food binging mood. I don't know what came over us but we were just in the mood to eat. And eat. He said he suddenly had a craving for a rhubarb pie and he remembered how his grandma used to make them when he was a kid at this time of the year. We found some rhubarb at my grandma's backyard so he harvested a handful of them.
He asked me if I could bake him a rhubarb pie and almost instantly, I'm like, I don't know how to and I have not baked a pie before! But I did not want to disappoint my husband and I do not say NO to a challenge. So we set out to our nearest baking store and got all the stuff we needed to make my first ever pie. Then I went to our trusted friend, Youtube on how to make a strawberry rhubarb pie. The strawberry was my idea. I thought that adding strawberries will give it a twist.
whoala! hubby said that I did a good job for my first pie!

4 cups rhubarb chopped into bite size pices
2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
2 tbsp. butter
2 pcs pie crust dough sheets
