The Quickie- Random Things Most People Don't Know About Me
I was wracking brain about blog post ideas to write recently and I came across an article in Cosmo magazine's October issue about quickie questions about things you don't know about this certain celebrity. So that's when I thought about writing a blog about the things a lot of people don't know about me.
I am a typically quiet and shy person and I'm not an extrovert and neither am I an introvert. I am in between or what they call an ambivert. Most of time I think I am misunderstood because of how I come across and people say I have the 'RBF' ( resting bitch face) Hahahaha! At first it hurt me why people would have an impression of me but then I came to realize and accept that. My close friends will know that I am much more than that. I don't normally go out there in the open and talk about myself and open up my personal life to people. But here are some of the things that people don't know about me that I would like to share with you (things that probably won't affect your normal everyday life! teehee!)
I thought this could be a fun way to get to know me better!
Random things you don't know about me...
- I love to read. And write. I guess that is pretty much obvious? This blog? My collection of books? My mini library?
- My Happy place is the library
-My weakness- Romantic gestures
-Biggest misconception about me- People think that I am a snob and that I have 'the resting bitch face'
-Pet Peeve- I have a couple. You can ask me.
- I really admire people who are verbally captivating-I have a ton of respect for people who can hold a group whether big or small because of their verbal prowess. Stand up comedians, politicians and public speakers are some people I admire. I'm not saying verbal communication is one of my short comings but I'm not exactly Hillary Clinton or Aung San Suu Kyi but I am a decent speaker nd I have had my own share of public speaking engagements when I was still in highschool having joined the debater's Club and running for Student Government Office. I can speak in front of a group -and do it well- but I still absolutely love getting swept up by someone who is true and natural at it.
- I admire people who: know what they want and work actively towards achieving it
-I am an ambivert. Not an extrovert nor an introvert but somewhere in between
- I am bad at cracking a joke.
-I have a horrific fear of snakes and other creepy crawlers
- Princess Diana is my life heroine. There is just a certain je ne sais quoi about her that is so captivating and mesmerizing. Her unique, complex and extraordinary life and whose beauty both internal and external has always been an inspiration to me as a woman.
-I've had men actually admire my feet. I have been told by men before that I have nice feet and I had a friend who actually took me out shoe shopping just so he can admire me wearing the shoes. He admittedly had foot fettish but he never got physical or sexual with me. We actually became good friends. Plus I got to keep all the shoes he bought me!
- I'm naturally shy. I have to put an effort not to be.
- I hate when only one window in the car is open and it makes a really loud crazy noise. My ears.
- I once spent 25,000 php ($500) on my hair in a saloon. I don't know what got into me but I just said yes and yes to every suggestion my stylist offered me. Up until now my sister still can't believe I did it!
- I love jewelries!!! I cannot say anything more than I LOVE JEWELRIES!!!!!
- I don't know how to dance. Wish I did.
- I love taking photographs. It's a hobby. Not a professional but an enthusiast.
-I don't drink and smoke.
- Amongst flowers, I love the scent of lavender
- I love tulips though
- I love my books and take great care of them
- You'll find my wrath if you mishandle my books!
- I can work well under pressure
- I believe in the power of prayers. I have had my prayers answered and even when they are not, I still believe that there is a reason for them.
- I love collecting tea pots and teas
- I usually tend to infer more about a person from what he talks about others than what he talks of himself
- I'm good, very good at IV canulation. Drawing bloods and inserting IV lines to my patients. Even doctors wait for me to do it for them. =)
- I love crime and mystery movies
- I'm a planner addict
- My engagement ring is the best gift I have ever received
- My husband is an answered prayer and I love him
- I am not a morning person
- I want to have twins
- I love to go SHOPPING!
- I love fedoras
- I love Fall season
- I'm a quiet person. We've established that.
-But don't underestimate me.
- I'm opinionated. I may be quiet and I may not always say what I think but that does not mean I don't have strong opinion about things
- I am amazed by the English accent. Not American English but British English. Has a certain glam to it.
-I've always wanted to go on a cruise trip...hopefully soon!
-I love dogs. We have a dog named Jazz.
-I believe that if everyone exercised a little bit of kindness the world will be a better place
- I always have a lot of things in my mind. Sometimes I space out.
- I contradict myself at times
-I over analyze things sometimes. Working on it.
- Details mean a lot to me.
- I can speak Arabic.
- I'm a make up junky. I love wearing make up and I have a sufficient but not crazy collection of make up products
- I love my profession. I'm a registered nurse.
- My favorite city: London
- I hate Math. I hate numbers.
- I love to cook. I enjoy trying out new recipes.
- I love scented candles
- I hate needles. I don't mind sticking them to others but not to me. I know. Shocking.
- I've been cheated on before. Long story.
-I'm a neat freak. OC
- I don't like dirty shoes. Dirty anything.
- I don't like messy eaters
- I love perfumes. I love Joe Malone's most of all.
- I prefer lights out! lol!
- I LOOOOVE to travel. It's my passion. 18 countries, 21 cities. Not done yet!
- I love Dr. Spencer Reid. ( Criminal Minds. Who doesn't? )
- I can be trusted with your secrets.
- I have a soft spot for the poor, homeless and less fortunate. I used to go around our subdivision and buy food from fastfood chains and hand them out to families I see that are squatting and poor.
- I want to go on a mission to help poverty stricken countries and villages in Africa.
- I love JESUS.
- I love going to the spa for a body massage and foot spa
- My mantra: Everything happens for a reason
-Nothing is less sexy than arrogance, deceit and men who are chauvinistic pigs
