You Were Right All Along- Even When You Were Wrong

Have you ever wondered if you have done the wrong thing? Questioned your decision? Or second guessed yourself?

I believe we are right all the time. Even when we are wrong.

The wrongness of the moment was right for you at the time. That moment. That humbling experience is another right for you. Maybe that moment or that situation called for a decision. And that was a right decision for you. We have all been in that crossroad at one point or another in our lives. I know I have.

Our need to be right even when things turned out to be wrong is part of the journey. It is when we learn the lessons. We can be right all the time and convince ourselves and others that you were right but when things turn out exactly the opposite, I believe that we should be able to take responsibility and accept that we were wrong. Yes, at that moment you were right. Let nobody tell you otherwise. At that moment, that right was called for and you gave it. How things turned out at the end of the day, was never under your control. All you can do is accept it and do something about it. But you were right all along.

We all love being right. Specially when everyone else around you isn't. I especially love being right when people around actually realize that I am right. I know it sounds a bit snobbish but I will be unapologetic for a moment, if you allow me. I am merely pointing out that when faced with a situation head on and face to face, only you can decide whether a decision was right. Or a choice that was made was right. If people tell you otherwise, then it is their dilemma. Not yours. As long as you can tell yourself that what you did was the best you can and you gave it your everything and you are confident about the path you chose, then you were right all along.

Trust your rights- even when they are wrong.

part of the journey.
