For The Love Of Malden- ( All About My Filofax Personal Malden )

It was love at first unboxing.

I'm a planner addict. And I think I've established that quite a bit and a lot out here. I've owned several planners in the past and have switched and used several different brands. I've had Erin Condren, Webster's, Happy Planners, Kikki K and other local brands. I've also owned a Filofax A5 before and loved everything about it. For the coming year however, I have been wanting to use a Filofax Malden personal. And my husband has been seeing me browse online for it. He probably got the hint, and finally got it for me! yey! I felt like a little kid who just got a candy bar.

So, I want to introduce Bella. Bella is my personal Malden in Ochre. Hubby got it from Pens and Leather which is an online UK store since Filofax is not readily available in the US and if it is, it's very expensive.

She is made of soft, fine luxurious leather and the ochre color is just as classy and rich. She has the 19 mm rings and the cotton cream inserts for 2019. She has 5 inside pockets on the front cover and a zip pocket that is perfect for storing my stickers, sticky notes and die cuts. Like all personal Maldens' it does lie flat which is something I really like and the leather just seems to turn more rustic and casual the longer you use them.

Most people use their Filofax in a fairly basic way: pick a black organizer, fill it with white paper, plan their life in it, and move on. That's great. But it simply is not my way. I cannot help but personalize, prettify and pimp everything I get my hands on especially my planner. So my Filofax is both colorful and dynamic in a sense that I get to organize my life and have fun doing it.

This is how I set Bella up for this year and I'm showing you all the sections I made to fit my lifestyle and everyday activities.

When you open it up, the first thing you see is my cover sheet. I wanted something motivational as well cute and pretty at the same time, so I decided to use my Websters pages dashboard. It just reminds me of being positive and and bringing out our brightness and let it shine!

The inside card pockets are really good for storing some of my rewards cards and I also keep some stickers and die cuts in it. I also like to keep some stamps inside for when I need them I can easily take them out of the pockets.

The inserts are the ones that came in with the planner. It's made of smooth cotton cream paper that I also like. I wanted to use personalized inserts in the format I wanted but I had to order them from Etsy and it hasn't arrived yet so I figured I just use it for the mean time. I wanted everything to be uniform but I guess I don't mind using a different one at least for the month of January.

I personalize my planner according to my interests and my lifestyle. Mostly, the things that I do on a daily and the things that I am passionate about. I have a section for books that I plan to read and books that I am currently reading. I also have my personal section where I keep all of my personal information like bank accounts, usernames and other information that I need to keep track of. I have a finance tracker section where I put everything about our finances and the money that gets in and out on a monthly basis as well as the savings that we set aside.

I keep a bookmark for the current day or week I am in so that it's easy for me to go to the page and read my tasks. I have this plastic velom that says ' RIGHT NOW' and I put some of my sticky notes on it so it's easy to grab and use.

I then put my stickers and some die cuts in this plastic transparent pocket and I also have a plastic card holder to hold some business cards.

From one planner addict to another,

XOXO,

Karen
