Embracing The Logo Top

I have to admit. I have joined the band wagon. I embraced the logo trend also known as the 'logo mania' and even I, did not quite expect it. I used to not like the fact that you are wearing someone elses' name on my person. And I used to think that only obnoxious and stuck-up people supported this trend. But hey! I obviously had a change of heart.

There's just something so unique about a designer item that speaks volume with its affixed label. For the last year, labels and logos have been one of the ways designers make a fashion statement. Instagram has been flooded with Louis Vuitton bags or Gucci belts and everything just screams "look at me!" And I can understand why logo pieces have been chastised all these years. They can be viewed as flashy, pompous, too much 'in your face' and downright superficial. However, fashion brands have made a come back and made logos from high street to luxury and they have made it fresher than ever.

I you want to try the trend, why not? However, I suggest to do it in a classy and subtle way. Personally, I like to wear a logo brand one or two at a time. Logo tops are a personal favorite. It's fairly easy to style since you can think of it as a regular t-shirt. Take a hint from the past- 90's for example, and pair a logo tee with denim pieces. It can look dressy with the right pair of accessories but my favorite way to style it is to dress it down. Less is more, people! I am super fond of all the super easy, casual vibes when you pair a logo top with boyfriend jeans or denim skirt!

So next time you're thinking of wearing a logo piece, think about being stylish and classy at the same time. Classy can't be associated with wearing all the logo pieces you have in one outfit. At least not in my book. But you do 'you'. Both sides of the argument are right and wrong but it always comes down to you and what makes you happy. There is nothing wrong with spending extra dollars for something you want and will make you happy.

XOXO,

Karen
