Pumpkin Patch Please-Picking Our Pumpkins For Halloween

There's absolutely no shame in embracing the basic-ness of the fall season. We all feel an urge. There is just something about fall, something in that crisp autumn air that puts us in the spirit. Once fall arrives, most of us are already thinking of hitting the pumpkin patch to pick the perfect ones to decorate our porches. Now that October is officially here, 'tis the season for the pumpkins. Needless to say, me and the hubby jumped on the bandwagon in search for the perfect pumpkin.

My husband and I started this young tradition of pumpkin picking for the fall and this year, we are definitely keeping that tradition. Yesterday we went to a pumpkin patch farm just outside of town that is raving with positive reviews from locals as well as non-locals who want to pick out their pumpkins for Halloween.

you are the pumpkin to my spice

Treinen farm is not new to us, as we have been there last year. As always, it was not a disappointment. They offer corn maze, pumpkin picking with hayrides to the 14 acre pumpkin patch, tube slides and corn sand box. The weather was perfect for pumpkin picking. We arrived mid-afternoon thinking that the place won't be packed as everyone says it would be but everybody seemed to have the same idea. Families wanting to have a good time in the maze and pick their pumpkins, kids feeding the animals and petting the horses...everybody just seemed to be enjoying their time. Which is always a good thing, by the way.

The pumpkin, afterall is the mascot of Halloween. So picking out the best one can be tricky if you do not know how to. I'm no expert on pumpkins but I think we found the best pumpkin for our porch decor and for our 'jack o lantern'.

XOXO,

Karen
