Random Rants
You're getting excited for the upcoming holidays. You're enjoying every bit of fall before the weather gets super cold and snow covers the ground you walk. You break in your best fall outfits and fire amazing OOTD pics. Most of all, you're excited of what the last couple of months will give you.
I hear you. I feel exactly the same.
You might take a mirror selfie in your best fall coat. Snap a shot of your first mug of hot cocoa of the season, or pose in a pile of leaves before they get covered in a blanket of snow, but what it is that you do, regardless of what pic that may be, November is a month to celebrate because it is full of change and excitement. Forget about the spooky Halloween vibes and get ready for the festive season as you watch the last bit of fall slowly fade away into winter.
For us here in Wisconsin, winter snuck up too fast and too early. It didn't give most of us a chance to enjoy every bit of fall to the fullest. But I did not let that happen to me. I savored in the feeling of fall in every way I can. These months of the year bring warm nostalgia to me and I like to take that in by doing the things I love most during the autumn season.
My husband and I got to visit a pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkin not just for the Halloween but into the fall season and I got to enjoy the falling leaves as they bid adieu with their most colorful shades. I also like to fill my house with the beautiful smell of cinnamon and autumn scents so I picked out a lot of scented candles to burn this season. Also, I made homemade spicy hot cocoa that my husband and I like to enjoy while we cozy up and shrug the cold weather off.
Pretty soon, we will all be getting ready for the Christmas holidays. I know I will. I am already putting together a list of my Christmas gift guides and of course, I will be putting up our Christmas tree very soon-and that makes me very excited because this year I decided to do a red and white-themed Christmas tree with a bit of plaid colors!
XOXO,
Karen
