Karen In Paris, France- Paris Is Always A Good Idea

God, I love Paris!

Paris is one of the most iconic, beautiful and frequently visited cities in the world. Not everyone loves Paris, but those who do loves it with passion! This magnificent elegant metropolis is often at the center of conflict and confusion, but more often and amidst that, it is the heart of creativity, art, fashion and fantastic French experience.

My first trip to Paris was an unforgettable one just as my next two trips after that. I will never forget my first time in Paris. I traveled with two of my friends mid February in 2016. It was cold but dry. Perfect weather for strolling along the streets of the city and touring the famous spots that Paris is known for. Being there the first time just swept me in all its magical entanglements. I felt like a Parisian girl blending in with all the magnificence surrounding me.

Paris is a feeling. I get chills just thinking about it. You can't NOT be romantic in Paris even if you don't have someone with you when you go there. It may be the city of love in all the world and it held up to it's reputation. In all the days I was was there I did a little romance with the city myself. It turns out, I LOVE Paris! I went around the city visiting the main attractions, stopping at restaurants and cafes and visiting museums and of course I did some shopping at the famous Avenue Des Champs- Elysees.

I want to share with you during my Parisian experience! Hope you enjoy!

Visiting the Eiffel Tower- It's classic Paris! This iconic structure stands 1.063 ft tall and has become an iconic cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world.

Arch De Triomphe- A magnificent arch in the center of the street that is one of Paris's most visited attraction. In order to get up into the arc, you need to climb the 284 steps to the top and there you can savour the best views of Paris from above.

Avenue Des Chapms-Elysees- The high street famous for its rows and rows of of high end shops, restaurants and boutiques. Definitely a haven for fashion lovers and hardcore shoppers. Just strolling in the streets is an experience in itself.

The avenue is also a place for street performers and people just hanging around their expensive sports cars parked along the streets.

The Louvre Museum-The world's largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris. Did you know: the Louvre Museum has many other types of exhibit including archaeology, history and architecture. The Mona Lisa is one of the most famous art piece that is housed in this magnificent museum.

Sacre-Coeur- The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, commonly known as Sacre-Coeur. It is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. You have to climb steps to go up to the Basilica but I tell you, it is worth the climb.

Notre Dame de Paris- A medieval Catholic cathedral widely considered to be one of the finest examples of French architecture. One of my lifelong bucket list item was ticked when I visited the Notre Dame Cathedral. Any Sunday morning in Paris will echo to the sound of church bells like the Notre Dame.

Moulin Rouge- We've all seen this movie. Who hasn't? This movie musical uses the setting of the cabaret Moulin Rouge in Paris. It tells the story of a young English poet/writer Christian, who falls in love with the star of the Moulin Rouge cabaret.

Cafe des 2 Moulins- French for 'two windmills', this famous cafe is located in the Monmartre area of Paris. It gained considerable fame since its appearance in the 2001 film Amelie where it was the workplace of the lead character.

The beauty of Paris is that you can be spontaneous. There is a wonderful cafe in every corner, a beautiful spot to take pictures of, and a nice restaurant to eat from. You can never run out of things to do and places to explore in this beautiful city.

There is no other city that compares to Paris- everywhere you go, any place you visit- beauty is everywhere. From picturesque sidewalks, to cozy cafes, no matter what day it actually is, the feeling in the air is that of a carefree, slow, Sunday.

My trips to Paris will always be a memorable one. I can never get enough of this city!

Paris will always be a good idea!
