My Harley Davidson Motorcycle Journey

It's a type of freedom and confidence that can hardly be explained but only other riders understand.
I'll never forget the first day of Riding Academy at Harely Davidson Madison. I was so nervous I was nauseous and yet at the same time I was quite giidy and excited. I'd hardly ridden anything before, let alone a giant ass motorcycle. Could I really do this?

I've always wanted to ride. I wanted my own bike. I remember my family laughing at me when I first expressed my interest to learn how to ride a bike. They said I couldn't do it. They said it wasn't my personality and they couldn't picture me doing it. For a long time I pushed these thoughts out of my head and thought maybe it wasn't for me. But lately these thoughts have been creeping up and all I could think of was doing it. Thanks to my significant other and his constant encouragement, I finally decided to walk in to the Harley Davidson Riding Academy, mounted that Street 500 bike and saddled up!
I'd been a passenger a few times before and quickly realized that I'm a little too headstrong, independent and impatient to sit in the back forever. But could I do this? Could I actually ride my own?
There's nothing quite like the feeling of riding a Hrley-Davidson motorcycle. Wether you have been a fan of the brand or thinking about getting yourself one, there is something magical about riding a Harley. And so, my adventure begins!

The riding academy is a three day class that started Friday through the weekend. It was an 8 hour a day class of learning the basic parts of a motorcycle to the safety and training designed for all riders of all skill levels, from begginer to advanced. The new rider course that I enrolled in goes through the steps to learn how to ride a motorcycle and nget you n the road. My first day was quite exciting. I learned to identify the basic parts of the motorcycle and how to safely mount and dismount. The coaches are very knowledgeable and expeienced Harley drivers and they will go through everything in detail and make sure you get through the course with ease and of course, throw in the fun.

XOXO,
Karen
