Book By Book: My September 2018 Reads

September was a bit of a busy month for me. It's my birthday month and me and my husband had a lot of activities planned over the month. It's just that there's something about the anticipation of fall that really wants me to curl up and read a good book that I cannot pass the chance to read a couple of good ones.

So despite the juggling of things to do, I still managed to read a couple of books.

Here are my September reads:

The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena

This book tells a story about the blind fear that a New York couple experience when they return home from a dinner party to find that their daughter was missing. This book personally makes me think that this is a look at post partum depression and how it breaks a marriage.

Honeymoon by James Patterson

Nora Sinclair seems perfect. She has the looks. The career. The sophistication. The clothes. The lifestyle. But there is just something about her that the FBI is interested. People around her die. Specially men. And there is something dangerous about her whenAgent O'hara looks closer. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and kept me wanting to turn the pages every time.

Zoo by James Patterson

This is another science fiction thriller by one of my fave authors. When animals begin to attack human kind, it is up to this one man to persuade the world to take action about i or allow themselves to perish.Jackson Oz is a young biologist who watched the escalating events of animals attacking humans with dread. With the help of echologist Chloe, Jack is in a race against time to warn leaders before it's too late.

Mini Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

I just wanted to read something light so I pulled out this book which I have not read since I bought it. This book is funny and challenging. Becky thought that motherhood is a breeze and that having a daughter was a dream come true. But Minnie creates havoc everywhere she goes. Hahaha! Don't they? There is cuteness and at the same time challenge in this story which makes it interesting.
