Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette

I've heard about Too Faced Chocolate bar Palettes before but I have not actually tried to own one. I was in love with my other make up brands of choice like Naked by Urban Decay and Tarteist that I have not tried any of the Too Faced eye shadow palettes. There's been a lot of raving and talking about how good this product is among beauty bloggers and influencers that I decided to try it. Needless to say, I fell in love with it!

First of all, the packaging of this product is sooo cute! It's made to look like a chocolate bar which makes it unique and stand out among the rest of my make up. It;s definitely girly and quirky which adds to the many reasons why i love this product. The palette is sturdy and has a magnetic closure that ensures that it is closed and does not accidentally open to keep the shades inside safe. It contains 16 different eye shadows and a mirror just enough for you to use when applying it and the size is ideal for travelling too.

And can I just say that this palette smells so good! Like chocolate! Obviously, that is the idea. And the names for each shadows all come from and have to do with chocolate and chocolate ingredients like cocoa, hot fudge, truffles, nougut, caramel and mousse. This palette is a deeper, warmer version of the original and contains beautiful rich browns and bronzes which are my favorite shades. There are also pretty cool-toned shades that gives quite a versatility to this palette.

I find that all the shadows in this palette are intensely pigmented and looks lovely once applied. The shadows are very buttery and creamy to touch and the color pay off is amazing. It blends well and stays on for a long time once applied. It has a perfect mixture of eye shadows that will let you create a variety of pretty and glamorous looks.

To give you an idea of just how I love this product, I decided to create a make up look using some of my favorite shades in this palette.

The shades I used in this make up look is more of my 'go-to' everyday make up. I love using cool tones of nudes and browns and some pink.

I used nougat for base shade and applied it all over my lid and then I used pink sugar to give a bit of shimmer to my lower lid. Then I used peanut butter as my transition shade and blended it in. Lastly, I used truffled on the the corners of my eye bringing it up a bit up in my lids and blended it in.

Over all, I must say that Too Faced has really kept up to its name. Congratulations! I absolutely love using this product and will continue to try other palettes.

XOXO,

Karen
