The Lippies I'm Obsessing Right Now
10 days more 'till Spring! At least that's what google tells me and maybe for other parts of the world but here in Wisconsin, it could be in at least 30 more days. But hey, that doesn't mean I'm obsessing with it already! Happy Spring my loves! Here's to sun, fun, flowers and cocktails!
So while searching for something in the internet, I came across this totally amazing product that blew my mind. The Revlon Ultra HD matte lipcolor is one of the most amazing matte lippies I have ever tried.
These babies come in frosted plastic bullet that looks elegant and classy. Revlon defines these as lightweight, high definition matte color in a gel formula. The first time I tried them on, I thought I wanted to eat them! They smell so sweet like candy bars but don't worry, the scent will not linger after you apply them. The color pay off is insane and I must say it's not your regular matte. It does not make your lips dry and crack because it is liquid-y enough to moisturize your lips and dries to a velvety satin finish.
The shades leave a beautiful stain behind and it will settle into the fine lines of your lips and are more forgiving than the traditional matte liquid lippies.
I got the shades Devouement and Passion which are amazing colors that I tend to gravitate to. Devouement is a great shade for spring with an amazing pink hue. Revlon describes it as 'creamy mango and whipped vanilla fragrance'. The formula is more gel-like to mousse rather than liquid. It feels thick but the color pay off is great and very high definition. MOISTURIZING, yes. This one is a plus point for those who can't stand dryness in matte liquid lipstick.
Passion is a very deep and opaque red with a slight berry tint. The color pay off is amazing and one to two applications will give a really good velvety red color with a satin finish. Very perfect for a night out with the hubby or just because you want to strut a red lip.
I will be reaching out for these lipsticks for the Spring and I am already actually starting to use it now. What lippies do you tend to reach out for in the Spring?
XOXO,
Karen
