10 Things You Can Do While Self Isolating At Home

Wow the world really got turned on its head the past couple weeks didn’t it? With Covid 19, aka the Coronavirus going around. With self quarantines and social distancing becoming the norm for the immediate future, it can leave you asking, what the H-E-double hockey sticks can I do with my time?!

Instead of being fearful, or panicking I think this is a time to listen to CDC recommendations, remain calm, and nip this thing and not let it get out of control. But, what it doesn’t mean is that you have to sit, on your hands, staring at a wall, bored out of your mind, waiting on the worst to pass.
Times are tough out there and we are faced with unprecedented danger and uncertainty. But I am not the one who will spread fear. No. I am the one who will spread the love over fear. In times like these, it is important to vibe high. Be responsible. Do every safety measure as possible- but most importantly- stay calm.
So, here are 10 fun things you can do while isolating yourself at home.
Read a book. Pick up that book that you have been meaning to read but have been putting away for the longest time. Reading is a good way to stimulate your brain and helps reduce stress. Plus, you get to enjoy the adventures of the characters in the book you are reading.
Binge on NETFLIX- Or HULU,Disney plus, Prime video or whatever subscription you have. There are a lot of movies and shows out there that will cater to everyone's interests like documentaries, drama, romantic comedy movies or action pack movies. There are tons of choices!
Research on something you have always been interested in - Like astrology or feng shui or quantum physics or how to start. business - literally anything!
Create a vision board- Think it. Want it. Get it. If you have a vision of something you want or goals you want to achieve, having something to look at and constantly remind you will motivate you to work towards those goals. This will also bring out the creativity in you.
Color coordinate your closet - Just for the fun of it! Hahaha!
Write hand written letters to family and friends - It's the perfect time to do a digital detox and do things the 'old school' way. You'll be surprised how nice it feels to receive hand written letters from someone. So make someone's day!
Learn a new language - Ever wanted to speak another language? Now is the time. There are a lot of websites that teach how to speak different languages. Hola! Aprendo espanol!
Take a lot of naps. Like, a lot of naps - Just because.
Deep clean your entire house - I mean, wouldn't you think this is the right time to do that?
Plan next year's vacation - Visualize that the Earth and people are fine again and we can go back to actually seeing the smiles on other people's faces.
We have so much time right now. To think about what's important and what matters most, appreciate our health and our loved ones. Enjoy our own company or with those we love and prepare ourselves for the sunnier, healthier and happy days!
