Hunter Boots Review: Things To Know Before You Buy

1. Sizing- Hunter boots are offered in whole sizes. So if you are in between sizes, I suggest you buy the next size up specially if you have a wider calf. I am normally a size 7 but I have a bigger calf so size 8 worked ok for me.

2. Hunter boots are not the most comfortable footwear- I wouldn't wear these Hunter boots for a long period of time but I can if I had to. They have a nice cushion at the bottom and are comfortable to wear, but the boots themselves are stiff and limit a normal heel to toe gait pattern. But they are indeed great for when you have to go out in the rain or work in the yard and it's muddy or you want to go out in the woods.

3. They have antibacterial fabric lining. I have never had issues with smell with my Hunter boots. Although I must say, I do take care of them pretty well. This is definitely one reason why investing in one of these pairs is a good idea over other brands. Rubber can make your feet sweat and stink so the antibacterial fabric lining is definitely a good added measure.

4. Don't wear them without socks- Take my word for it. You don't want to slip this on without using a pair of socks. The rubber will suction your skin and you will burn a lot of calories trying to take them off!

5. Hunter boots are not meant for snow/wintery weather- despite all those ute photos on Pinterest or Instagram in the snow, Hunter boots are not meant for snowy weather. I live in Northern Wisconsin and when it's winter, dang, it's winter! So if you live in the same climate as I do, I suggest you wear a more weather appropriate footwear.

6. Cleaning tricks and tips- I got my cleaner on Amazon that works just fine but I definitely recommend Hunter boot shine sponge as well to shine up your boots as needed. i also read that you can shine them up with olive oil and a non abrasive piece of towel or cloth.

7. You can choose between a matte or glossy finish- Depending on what you like, you can always have the option to choose between matte or gloss finish. My red pair is a matte as I found it nicer in that finish. I have another pair which is black and that one I got in a glossy finish.

I have two pairs of Hunter boots. Black in gloss finish and red in the matte finish. I find myself reaching for the red one though more than the black pair. It's a good way to spice up an outfit on a rainy day!

XOXO,

Karen
